    Green and efficient drilling system passes tests

    Todays edition of leading industry publication, Mining Weekly, reports on the results of extensive testing of the Peterstow Aquapower drilling technology in various sites and mines over the past three months.

    Drill saves miners power and water

    The summer edition of Canadian Mining Journal's New Mining Technology magazine features an article on Peterstow's drilling system.
     
    It examines how the technology can help the mining industry reduce operating costs, improve energy efficiency and address the challenge of meeting environmental targets.

    Imminent revolutionary change

    The first ever issue of Absolute Energy magazine, which launched last week, carries an article focussing on the energy efficiencies and environmental credentials of Peterstow's driling technology. 

    Absolute Energy is a new quarterly publication which is distributed to energy stakeholders and professionals in the mining, oil, gas, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing and agricultural sectors throughout southern Africa.

    Drill technology could change SA mining

    News 24, southern Africa's premier online news resource, has published an article on the benefits of Peterstow technology, examining the energy and cost savings that can be made, and looking at how Eskom can help fund mines to introduce the technology.

    News 24 journalist, Duncan Alfreds, came across the technology at the Mining Indaba in February 2011 and recently accepted an invite to see the drills being made at the factory and to speak to Peterstow Operations Manager, Jiri Safarik.

    Doug's drill strikes gold

    On 25th June, The Glasgow Evening Times, the paper of Peterstow's Chairman Douglas Barrows' hometown, ran a story of the success of the company. The article describes how Douglas's education in Glasgow and subsequent engineering work across the UK and Africa led him to develop the revolutionary Peterstow hydraulic drill.

    Export-orientated Swaziland emerges

    Peterstow Chairman, Douglas Barrows has been quoted in fDi Magazine, the Financial Times' foreign direct investment publication, as part of a feature on Swaziland. Douglas reflected on the benefits Swaziland offers to an engineering business selling to the South African and global Mining sector:

    "Swaziland has been an excellent location for our investment in a world-class manufacturing facility. It has excellent transport links to Durban for our tnternational exports and to key parts of southern Africa, and is close to our gold and platinum mining customers in South Africa"

    New technology to jerk SA mining into modernity

    So begins an article by Sarah Wild published in todays edition of South Africa's Business Day newspaper. The feature focuses on the merits of Peterstow's closed-loop water hydraulic technology and how it offers a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional mining methods.

    News that Peterstow Aquapower has won a prestigious Mining Magazine Award for the most exciting innovation in the Underground Mining (Hard Rock) - Ancillary and Analysis category has appeared in the Times of Swaziland newspaper. The awards ceremony took place during the 2nd annual Mining Magazine Congress, held in Perth, Western Australia on November 10th and 11th.
